An 18 year old growing up in rural France spends most of his time drinking and partying with his friends - but when unexpectedly faced with taking care of his young sister and making a living, he has to buck his ideas up. Now in control of the family farm, he eyes up a hefty cash prize in a regional cheese-making competition to make ends meet - cue all sorts of shenanigans in finding out how to actually make cheese! There’s a quiet humour throughout this sincere and touching Cannes award-winner. Holy Cow is an Oswestry Film Society screening.
